Our fasting quote of encouragement today is from Anis Shorrosh. He said: “Sadly, many American Christians are famous for feasting and pain, not fasting and prayer.”
Our fasting devotional today is titled “HOW TO EXPERIENCE AND MAINTAIN PERSONAL REVIVAL AFTER FASTING” (part 2) from Bill Bright, founder of Campus Crusade for Christ.
Here are four more ways that you experience and maintain personal revival in your life as a Christian after you have fasted.
5 Praise and give thanks to God continually in all ways on all days, regardless of your circumstances.
6 Refuse to obey your carnal (worldy) nature. Galatians 5:16,17 reads, “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.”
7 Surrender your life to Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord. Develop utter dependence on Him with total submission and humility.
8 Study the attributes of God.
