The Prayer Motivator Minute #815

C.S. Lewis said, “We must lay before him what is in us; not what ought to be in us.”

Our prayer motivator verse from the Word of God today is Ephesians 6:18 which says: “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.”

Our prayer motivator quote today is from Paul E. Miller. He said, “Prayer is asking God to incarnate, to get dirty in your life. Yes, the eternal God scrubs floors. For sure we know he washes feet. So take Jesus at his word. Ask him. Tell him what you want. Get dirty. Write out your prayer requests; don’t mindlessly drift through life on the American narcotic of busyness. If you try to seize the day, the day will eventually break you. Seize the corner of his garment and don’t let go until he blesses you. He will reshape the day.”

The Prayer Motivator Minute #814

Johanna Spyri said, “We must never forget to pray, and to ask God to remember us when He is arranging things, so that we too may feel safe and have no anxiety about what is going to happen.”

Our prayer motivator verse from the Word of God today is James 5:16 which says: “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”

Our prayer motivator quote today is from Charles Spurgeon. He said, “Intercessory prayer is exceedingly prevalent. What wonders it has wrought! The Word of God teems with its marvelous deeds. Believer, thou hast a mighty engine in thy hand, use it well, use it constantly, use it with faith, and thou shalt surely be a benefactor to thy brethren.”

The Prayer Motivator Minute #812

Charles Finney said, “When God has specially promised the thing, we are bound to believe we shall receive it when we pray for it. You have no right to put in an ‘if’, and say, ‘Lord, if it be thy will…’ This is to insult God. To put an ‘if’ in God’s promise when God has put none there, is tantamount to charging God with being insincere.”

Our prayer motivator verse from the Word of God today is Matthew 26:41 which says: “Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

Our prayer motivator quote today is from Paul E. Miller. He said, “Imbedded in the idea of prayer is a richly textured view of the world where all of life is organized around invisible bonds or covenants that knit us together. Instead of a fixed world, we live in our Father’s world, a world built for divine relationships between people where, because of the Good News, tragedies become comedies and hope is born.”

The Prayer Motivator Minute #811

Charles Finney said, “Nothing tends more to cement the hearts of Christians than praying together. Never do they love one another so well as when they witness the outpouring of each other’s hearts in prayer.”

Our prayer motivator verse from the Word of God today is 1 Timothy 2:1-4 which says: “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.”

Our prayer motivator quote today is from Shellie Rushing Tomlinson. She said, “Definitely one of the great benefits of private prayer is that you can’t hide from your motives. In corporate prayer, we can sound like ‘all that.’ We can blow smoke in a crowd. But, get alone with Him, and He won’t let you get away with the fake stuff. Try blowing smoke in your prayer closet and you’ll cough on it every time. That penetrating gaze of His hurts, but afterwards, it never fails to heal.”

The Prayer Motivator Minute #810

David Wilkerson said, “I have questioned God sometimes whether prayers have gone unanswered. But answered prayer is still harder to believe.”

Our prayer motivator verse from the Word of God today is Luke 11:9 which says: “And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.”

Our prayer motivator quote today is from E.M. Bounds. He said, “The ministry of prayer, if it be anything worthy of the name, is a ministry of ardor, a ministry of unwearied and intense longing after God and after his holiness.”

The Prayer Motivator Minute #809

Philip Yancey said, “Prayer is not a means of removing the unknown and predictable elements in life, but rather a way of including the unknown and unpredictable in the outworking of the grace of God in our lives.”

This is Daniel Whyte III with the Prayer Motivator Minute #809 here to remind you that there is still great power in prayer to God Almighty in the holy name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Our prayer motivator verse from the Word of God today is Matthew 6:6 which says: “But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.”

Our prayer motivator quote today is from Faith Baldwin. She said, “Praying, we usually ask too much. I know I do. Sometimes we even demand. I think I am learning to ask enough for the moment–not for the whole year, utterly veiled in mystery; not even for the week, the month ahead; but just for today. Jesus said it all when He told us to pray: ‘Give us this day our daily bread.’ That bread is not only material, it is spiritual; in asking for it, we ask for a sufficiency of strength, courage, hope and light. Enough courage for the step ahead–not for the further miles. Enough strength for the immediate task or ordeal. Enough material gain to enable us to meet our daily obligations. Enough light to see the path–right before our feet.”

Our prayer motivator verse from the Word of God today is Matthew 6:7 which says: “But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.”

Our prayer motivator quote today is from Frederick Buechner. He said, “If we are a people who pray, darkness is apt to be a lot of what our prayers are about. If we are people who do not pray, it is apt to be darkness in one form or another that has stopped our mouths.”
