The Prayer Motivator Minute #823

18 Jan

Charles Haddon Spurgeon said, “If God be near a church, it must pray. And if he be not there, one of the first tokens of his absence will be a slothfulness in prayer.”

Our prayer motivator verse from the Word of God today is Romans 8:15 which reads: “For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.”

Our prayer motivator quote today is from Harold Ivan Smith. He said, “Some of the most challenging work a suicide survivor can do is to pray. To pray fully, survivors must bring all of themselves to the prayer: their anger, disappointment, fears, insecurities, and why’s. I bring all of me into an encounter with God, aware that nothing in the human experience, or the human response to the ambushes of life, is alien to God.”
